The heart of Artera’s operating companies is our people. Throughout the year, our team members give back to local communities across the U.S. This year was no different. With another year of battling a global pandemic, helping others in a meaningful way to show how much we care. Here are just a few examples of how our operating companies showed up in the communities our team members call home.
Minnesota Limited team members worked together to donate items such as toys, household products, gift cards, and funds for various organizations in support of families in need through programs like Toys for Tots. Thanks to their support, hundreds of families will be able to celebrate this holiday season.
In partnership with their customer Southern Company, Southeast Connections (SEC) supported the local Children’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The local team donated money to support the toy drive and give back to the community. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, team members could not help handing out the toys, but many had the opportunity to see where the magic happens before the toys are distributed. In addition, the SEC Transmission team participated in a virtual toy drive to support the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Team members directly donated money or virtually purchased toys, raising more than $,1500 in donations.
In Massachusetts, the Feeney Brother’s team collected more than 500 toys for the Dorchester Boys and Girls Club. In addition, team members across Massachusetts gathered more than a thousand food items and more than $5,000 in cash, all in support of ten different charities selected by team members. These charities included inner-city food banks, the Black Ministerial Alliance, local police, firefighters, veterans, churches, and various community health centers. Supporting communities is what matters most.
Miller Pipeline’s dedication to giving back was on full display this holiday season. The corporate office partnered with the Children’s Bureau, an Indianapolis-based children’s advocacy organization, for their Hope for the Holidays initiative. They sponsored a family of four, providing gifts and clothing for the two children and their parents.
In the field, Miller team members in South River, NJ, supported two charities this year. Saint Peter’s Children’s Hospital received toys, games, books, and other gifts for their annual toy drive, providing gifts to children who must spend Christmas in the hospital for ongoing treatment. The team also collected several pounds of food for the South River Food Bank, ensuring that several families within their community won’t go hungry this holiday.
At Hydro-X, the team knows that giving brings joy not only to the receiver but also to the giver. Together their team collected 85 premium toys to donate to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. This annual drive collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.
Artera wants to thank all our generous team members that continually support and give back to our communities throughout the year. The world is a better place when community members take care of one another.
Here’s to a very happy holiday season. We wish our team members, customers, and communities a healthy and happy new year. Here’s to a great 2022!
